The Stove Cafe

A hidden gem located on Dominion Road with lots of traditional Asian delights. It’s our go to stop whenever we’re there and the food never disappoints. So far we’ve tried their noodle dishes, wontons, black pepper beef on rice etc. Service can be slightly slower at times but not overly bad. Toilets are upstairs and is only accessible via the steep flight of stairs so might not be convenient for the elderly. Parking is minimal outside due to the time restrictions however there are plenty across the road along the neighbouring streets.

You must try the black rice pancake - so special! Package 1 + yutiao or fried bun will be my favourite for a light meal. Everything else we ordered were delicious. The vinegar soup was just the right balance of taste, and tofu jelly very smooth. Spicy beef Noodles were tasty and springy and spicy and numbing with mala pepper. Smallish place but there are some tables upstairs of it is full downstairs. If you like cantonese food, don’t miss this place

Very authentic, super delish, my new favourite place. Highly recommend the salty bean curd, the fry bread with brown sugar and thr soy milk is homemade, you can really taste the soy taste like you get back home. Already thinking of my next visit

Sometimes you know what you need is only a signature dish from where you were born to make your day. This is the place I have discovered not long ago. Traditional Chinese style breakfast is my comfort food especially the weekend mornings. Soy milk , Chinese pan cake with eggs, Tofu with vege soup dressing, what a great start of a day! There are also some noodles for whole day dinning and other breakfast items in the menu I am planning to try them all one day. ☺️

Great place for a decent Chinese breakfast! It's improved over time. I'd recommend the sweet fried bread, tofu, and the pork and onion bao.
